Welcome
We’re so glad you’re considering visiting Woodmark Church!

Walking into a new church can feel like a big step—we get that. Whether you’ve been in church your whole life or you’re just exploring faith, we want you to feel at home from the moment you arrive. Our heart is simple: to create a space where you can encounter God, connect with people, and grow in your faith at your own pace.
We hope the answers below help you feel more at ease as you consider visiting Woodmark Church.
When we Meet
Sunday Mornings

Each service starts on time, and lasts about 90 minutes.

Where do I park and which door do I walk through?
Most Sundays, there is plenty of parking available around our main facility. When needed, we also have overflow parking near the nearby fire station, with clear directional signage to guide you.
When you arrive, you’ll notice our main building has five entrances, and you’re welcome to use any of them. Our team is usually outside and inside to greet you and help you find your way once you arrive.

What’s the vibe? Can I wear jeans?
Absolutely—come as you are.
You’ll see everything from jeans and hoodies to more dressed-up outfits. Our atmosphere is welcoming, relaxed, and authentic. No pressure to look a certain way—just come comfortable. Woodmark Church is made up of people from 38+ different countries, representing a wide range of ages and life stages—from newborns, kids, and students to young adults, singles, newlyweds, families, and those who are retired.
_____________
We value authentic worship and corporate singing—gathering together as a church family to lift our voices to God in a way that is genuine, engaging, and Christ-centered.
We honor God’s Word as central to everything we do. As part of that, we typically stand for the reading of Scripture before the sermon as a simple way of showing reverence and attention to what God has spoken.
Our teaching is grounded in the Bible, and we usually preach through books of the Bible so that we can understand God’s Word in context and apply it faithfully to everyday life.
_____________
We also want to let you know that we meet in a space we rent from Kirkland Seventh-day Adventist Church. We are genuinely grateful for our partnership with them and for the opportunity to use their facility on Sundays and throughout the week.
Because of that, you may notice some of their materials or signage around the building. While we share the space, Woodmark Church gathers here as a guest in their facility, and we’re thankful for the generosity that makes that possible.

What happens with my kids?
We love families.
We offer safe, clean, and engaging environments for kids from Nursery through 5th Grade during the service. Every member of our kids team is background-checked and trained, and we use a secure check-in system so you can enjoy the service knowing your children are well cared for.
Nursery & Preschool
Children check in at the Kids Check-In Station and are dropped off in their classrooms before the service begins.
Elementary (1st–5th Grade)
Kids check in before the service, then join their parents in the main service for worship. After worship (about 20 minutes in), they are dismissed from the stage, and their teachers will be waiting for them in the hallway. Parents are welcome to walk their kids to their classrooms if that’s helpful.
If you prefer, your kids are always welcome to stay with you for the entire service.
We also have two rooms adjacent to the sanctuary with a viewing window and audio:
•A Mother’s Room for nursing moms and infants
•A Parent-Toddler Room for those with younger children
We understand every child is different. If your toddler isn’t quite ready for the classroom, you’re welcome to use the parent-toddler room, keep them with you in the service, or drop them off—whatever works best for your family. And if your child becomes restless during the service, you can step into the parent-toddler room at any time.

What about my students?
Our middle school and high school students gather every Tuesday at 6:30 PM at the church for a time of community, teaching, and fun.
In addition, on the 2nd Sunday of each month, our middle school students meet during the sermon portion of the 11:30 AM service for a special time designed just for them.
Throughout the month, students also hang out regularly, plan trips, serve together, and do a variety of fun activities that help them build friendships and grow in their faith. For more information, visit our "students page" here: https://www.woodmarkchurch.com/youth

What should I expect from start to finish?
When you arrive, you’ll be greeted and can grab a cup of coffee if available. The service typically includes:
•Worship music (live, about 20–30 minutes)
•Prayer and some short announcements by our host
•Scripture Reading (the audience will be asked to stand during the reading)
•A practical, Bible-based message (about 35 minutes long)
•Occasionally, things like communion or special moments of response after sermon
You won’t be singled out or put on the spot—we want you to feel comfortable just observing or participating as you’re ready.
After the service, people often hang around to connect. If you’d like, you can meet someone from our team—we’d love to say hello and answer any questions.

What about Communion (Eucharist)?
We celebrate communion on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month, typically at the end of the sermon.
Communion is a believer’s meal, meaning it is intended for those who personally trust in Jesus Christ. If you’re not there yet, please don’t feel any pressure to participate—you are still very welcome here.
At the end of the message, you’ll be invited to come forward to receive the elements (bread and juice), then return to your seat. After everyone has been served, the person leading will guide us, pray, and we’ll take communion together as a church family.
Following communion, we usually move into a few more minutes of worship and personal response.
